Maine Lobster Now proudly serves sustainably and responsibly sourced seafood products to our customers. We adhere to NOAA FishWatch guidance on all sustainably sourced seafood products we offer. Overharvesting fish and shellfish without limit would irreparably deplete seafood populations and collapse the industry. Sustainable management of wild-caught species determines the yearly catch limits we can harvest that will allow their numbers to replenish for the next year.

Lobster: Sustainably sourced directly from independently owned wharfs just a few miles from our headquarters here in Maine and along the expansive Maine coastline.
Scallops: Sustainably harvested off the North Atlantic Coast ranging from New Bedford, Massachusetts to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Clams: Responsibly harvested from the Northwest Atlantic Ocean just a few miles off the expansive Maine coastline and further up into the waters of Eastern Canada.
Haddock: A small portion is responsibly sourced from local waters near the Maine coast, but close to 90% is caught in the cold, clear waters near Iceland.

Shrimp: Our shrimp is raised in waters in regions of Southeast Asia, along with the Northwest Atlantic Ocean.

What’s the Serving Size for Our Maine Seafood Chowder?

All of our soups and chowders are delivered in 16 oz. portions. As an appetizer, two people can enjoy an 8 oz. cup of Maine Seafood Chowder to accompany their Maine Lobster Dinner, Lobster Tail Feasts, Alaskan King Crab, or Sustainably-Sourced Fish Fillets. You can also choose to indulge in the full 16 oz. bowl portion as your main course and serve with oyster crackers or toasted bread.

We ship out orders Monday - Friday for next-day delivery on Tuesday - Saturday, as long as the order is placed by 8AM ET. You may also schedule your seafood delivery ahead of time by choosing your desired date at checkout. Not all towns have Saturday delivery, so if you are interested in Saturday delivery, please contact our Customer Service Team by email or phone with your zip code so we can check availability. All orders scheduled to be delivered on Saturday are subject to an additional delivery fee.

All frozen packages are sealed in a reusable box with dry ice, while our fresh packages are packed with gel packs. Packages containing both frozen and fresh products will be packed with gel packs. Dry ice is not harmful to your food as CO2 is found naturally in the air we breathe, however, it can be so cold that it can burn your skin if you touch it with your bare hands. Please wear gloves when handling dry ice.

Shipping exceptions include holidays, the eve of a holiday or inclement weather. Our Customer Service Team will inform you via phone call or email if there are any issues with shipping your order out as promptly as possible.

Once you receive your package, you should open your package and make sure all your items arrived safely. If you have any issues with your products you must notify our Customer Service Team with photos of any issues via email the day your package arrives. Simple Instructions for Storing and Thawing Maine Seafood Chowder

Keep your Maine Seafood Chowder frozen until ready for use. Thaw under refrigeration immediately before use.

Heating Maine Seafood Chowder

To reheat: Place container of thawed soup directly into hot (180℉) water for 8-9 minutes, or until product reaches 165℉. DO NOT BOIL. DO NOT MICROWAVE.
